My Ivory Blooming Cactus scarf in a soft Pima Cotton Lawn with 1/8” machine stitched rolled hem, approximately 26” square. Fabric printed in the UK, drawings and stitching done by myself.
The inspiration: About a year ago I saw a very vibrant green winter coat. It was a man’s coat and I didn’t buy it, which I kind of regret because the color has sort of taken over my mind. It seems to of triggered a highlighting of all greens for me and this cactus green study is an offshoot of that. Then there is my abiding love of green and white or ivory, add in the yellows of the blossoms stamens and the yellow ocher tones of the ground and stones and you’ve got a classic Sihaya design, lol.
Silk Twill is also available but I haven’t done this design in silk yet so I don’t have photos. However the print crispness and quality are similar in look to the Pima Cotton Lawn. Special Orders take about three weeks.
