Here’s my drawing of a straw colored hot air balloon with soft red bands against a truly blue sky. Giclee printed semi gloss on paper. Available in 5”, 8” & 12” square and 5”x7” & 8”x12” vertical rectangle.
The inspiration: One morning in October we piled into the car before dawn and drove South to catch the balloon flight scheduled for that morning from the festival. We neared the huge and crowded event and saw them lifting off and followed them. Eventually going ahead of their steady direction and finding a park to sit on the grass and watch about a hundred float over. This straw colored balloon with its soft rose red bands was possibly my favorite. I have it on my own wall at home and like how in the square print it drifts up to the right. Giving it a feeling of the moment.
