The inspiration: I had the very great privilege of being shown a customers video of fledgling Mexican Spotted Owls that were growing up in their backyard. Large, cow eyed and because they were just fledged half covered in downy fluff! My drawing is of an Adult with a bit of a mauve caste granted by the evening light.
