The inspiration: I grew up with Great Horned Owls in Alaska. They looked huge even in the extra big Cottonwood trees there. Here in Santa Fe I have ended up living next to a tall adobe tower where Great Horned owls nest and raise a couple of big fluffy chicks almost every winter. 🤎🦉
