Inspiration: When I drew my Great horned owl drawing and discovered how wildly popular owls are. I began drawing other New Mexico owls. (See my Burrowing owl, Mexican Spotted owl and Flammulated owl, so far.) Then having grown up in Alaska I decided to add this not Southwestern owl to my mix. Snowy owls are the largest of North American owls by weight and are nostalgic to me from my days growing up in the Subarctic.
